Sunday Thankful Prayer

Dear God,
Remember that one time years ago, I met a great guy (a very attractive guy) through another guy I dated, and we became good friends - not the ex and I, the new guy and I. And somehow I kindly set him up with a friend of mine, but she couldn't make it to the group date. So I took her place, and oddly enough realized that I was happy she didn't go out with him because I really wanted him to myself. Well I'd just like to say thanks, thanks for leading me to meet a great guy, even if he eventually headed out of my time zone.
Graciously,
H

In honor of a little one we'll soon get to meet

You two are going to be wonderful, loving parents!

It was a bit crazy when I found out that the restaurant I had made reservation with had closed for a private wedding reception, so we had to move our party to another place and I was thrilled they weren't too busy to fix a table for nine. I'm glad it turned out to be a fun evening of conversations with friends and seeing you open up cute baby gifts, along with eating scrumptious mini cupcakes.

I appreciate the friends that were able to make it! Thanks for letting me host the dinner party so that we all could celebrate and congratulate both of you on your-soon-to-be-here baby boy!

How do we fix this?

Lately, trying to keep up on the world economic situations. These are some statistics found in the news...

Chinese exports fell 25 percent in February.

Four states -- California, South Carolina, Michigan and Rhode Island -- registered unemployment rates above 10 percent in January 2009.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says February unemployment checks in at 8.1 percent up from 7.6 in January.

It's difficult not to worry and be a little terrified. How is the economic recession effecting you? Are you spending less, and saving more? Have your company's structure changed (ie downsizing)? Are you feeling insecure and nervous? Or are you fortunate to be working in a company that had not been affected by the recession? Are you looking at your life differently, maybe finding joy in the simple things that life has to offer?

I hope things will get better for everyone, it's going to take time and perseverance.

I believe our economy will get back up. Economics is cyclical, therefore it's bound to get better again. The question I have is "How?"; how do we fix this? How can we change the economic situation?
