Such a great quote about love...
“When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”

Wild west indeed.
Me: Seeing friend's photos of beautiful desert canyons make my soul yearn to be there... And makes you wonder if this free spirited, adventurous, canyon curious woman in me was a wild west cowgirl in her past life.
Tim: I'm not sure about cowgirl. But wild west indeed. I'm thinking you were a famous gunfighter. Swigging warm whiskey. Riding a unicorn. Robbing the rich blind.

Smiling when I spotted these at a vintage shop downtown... Now to search my closet for some outfits to go with these boots.

Checking in.

Life is good... I've been so busy.
Some things on my mind::::
:I'm making connections with people and hoping to find in potential friends, authenticity and trustworthiness.
:Trying to fill my life with people that are inspiring and happy to be around- experiences that make me feel alive - and moments that let my spirit and mind and body feel exhilarated.
:With the warmer weather and sunny days, I'm yearning to be outside. I love the outdoors more than anything. I love being away from the city and being able to breath the fresh air and just marvel at the mountains, deserts, plants, rocks, starry evening sky, clouds - an overwhelming array of natural beauty.
:I'm free.(of past heart aches and such) Our memories had tucked and filed away in a book in the back of my mind somewhere. Life goes on. I'm not afraid of falling in love again. I hope I'll be with someone that will love me the way I want to be loved. I believe a fresh relationship will unfold in its own time.

Come shopping with me.
The last few posts has been too serious. So let's have some fun. Come shopping with me, I'll show you some things I'd like to buy.
1. No secret about it. I want this bikini. It's colorful and pretty.

2. A different bikini. You could guess why I like this one. The color for one. And I like that it has a little tie on the top piece and on each sides of the bottom piece.

3. A two person tent.
My friend Jonathan suggested this one -
My friend from work suggested this one -

Which one should I get?
4. I need more music in my life. It's time I join the 21st century and buy an ipod.

5. New gym shoes. I like this one. Supporting local jobs (assembled in the U.S.).

6. One more bikini. Who else like these polka dots?

Some days are hard. I need a vacation. I need to have confident that I'm going to be okay. I'm fragile. I'm tired. I'm having a difficult time finding motivation to start something that is due in 4 weeks. I can only go at my own pace. I'm not perfect. And I'm too hard on myself. My sister told me that she saw me weeping during a scene from Tangled. I was really into the movie. It was a good movie, with one tear jerking part. Ohhh, some days are hard. (Wine Wine)

Love Quote
"People say they ‘find’ love, as if it were an object hidden by a rock. But love takes many forms, and it is never the same for any man and woman. What people find then is a certain love. And [he] found a certain love with [her], a grateful love, a deep but quiet love, one that he knew, above all else, was irreplaceable.”

Happy V-Day to my friends
I enjoy dating. And yet, there are times that I like being single and just doing my own thing. I’m comfortable alone and I like being with people – it has to be a good balance for me. I like feeling rejuvenated by the energy of interacting with people. And there are times, it’s good for my soul to have a little peace and solitude.
I’d like to share some things I’ve learned and thought about through the years of dating and relationships.
1. Fully accept the other person without trying to change them. If you want to change someone, change yourself.
2. You need to be a happy single person before you enter a relationship. Two happy, healthy individuals make one happy, healthy relationship. (And vice versa)

3. Accept that in dating situations, you are putting yourself out there and that you will be hurt or disappointed. Even the one that loves you will disappoint or hurt you at one time. No one is perfect and your partner is human and will make mistakes.
4. Appreciate each other. Learn how your partner likes to be appreciated – is it through kind words, services, intimacy, gifts, or something else? Learn to appreciate each other every day.
5. Get to know each other fully. It takes time to really know someone.
6. Be honest about your expectations of the relationship. (This is not easy for everyone.) We play too many games and send too many confusing messages to the other party - just be honest.
7. Know your worth. Be with someone that will make you a priority in his/her life and love you just as much as you love him/her.
8. If you live a full happy life when you’re single, you’ll attract more great
people into your life than if you’re a bored and lonely single person.
9. Love is not just a feeling. It's also an action. Evaluate how that person treats you and ask if it's love, and how do you treat the other person? What is love, how does it feel and what does it look like?
10. It’s a wonderful feeling when you're dating someone that adds values to your life and make you feel good for just being you. And likewise, be the one that bring added values and happiness to the table as well.
11. Last one, I promise --- I've been in a relationship with someone that let me be me and he supported the things I wanted to do. I've never met a man that adored me and supported me fully. From him, I've learned that it is possible for me to meet someone that cared about me the way he did.
I'd love to hear your advices on dating and relationships!

No oatmeal please. (But I should eat them anyway.)
I really want to like oatmeal but it's no Chobani, and it's definitely no Fro-yo in a cup with fruits and candy toppings. From the video, it bugs me that those food places put them in a cup like they're fro yo or something special. Sorry, I shouldn't take my negativity out on them. The truth: I'm a bit unhappy that I can't get myself to like oatmeal.
I should like oatmeal. The benefits of eating oatmeal in the morning is enough to make a healthy woman like myself hooked on eating them every day. It is good for the heart, it helps reduce bad cholesterol, it's a great source of fiber, it's a good source of protein among other nutrients, helps reduce type 2 diabetes, and it helps you fill full longer, and lots of reasons why I should make it a part of my daily meals.
Does oatmeal cookies count? I do like oatmeal cookies!
Just to give it another chance, I'll go to one of those places in the video and order myself a cup. No promises that I'll eat the whole thing. This will be my twelfth or some high number attempts at eating oatmeal. All because I do believe in the benefits of oatmeal.

Ritter Sport chocolate makes me happy
I've fallen in love with European chocolate a long time ago. My older brother went to France at least once a year when I was in high school. And the only request I had was that he bring home some fine European chocolate.

The other day at a theater, I saw these! I like Ritter Sport, especially the marzipan chocolate bar. I think marzipan and dark chocolate really go well together. Ate a whole bar - yum!

Love that adds value to my life

I just read this article about modern relationship and I think they make a good point. “People have a fundamental motivation to improve the self and add to who they are as a person,” Dr. Lewandowski says. “If your partner is helping you become a better person, you become happier and more satisfied in the relationship.”
For me, having a sustainable relationship is important. I want a happy, supportive, loving, healthy relationship where both parties add value to each other lives.
